The Thornhedge Inn is a Queen Anne shingled cottage located in the historic Corridor District of Bar Harbor. Centrally located a block from the Village Green in downtown Bar Harbor, the inn is an easy walk to all shopping and dining attractions.
Thornhedge was built in 1900 as one of the original grand summer cottages, and still boasts original woodwork and period furnishings. The inn offers guests the unique opportunity to experience the classic elegance of Bar Harbors gilded age with the convenience of modern amenities. All eleven guest rooms are spacious and comfortably appointed with private bathrooms, air conditioning and cable television while some feature fireplaces or private balcony.
To start the day, guests are treated to a homemade gourmet breakfast featuring family recipes made with fresh local ingredients. In the afternoon we invite everyone to relax and mingle with the other guests while enjoying wine, cheese and fruit after an exciting day of exploring Acadia National Park. Andrew, the innkeeper, is a lifelong resident of Bar Harbor and is happy provide you with all the information necessary to make the most of your visit.
