Thornhedge Inn of Bar Harbor. Maine

The Thornhedge Inn is a Queen Anne styled shingled cottage located in the Historic Corridor District of Bar Harbor. Only a block from the Village Green in downtown Bar Harbor. The house is an easy walk from all shopping and dining attractions.

Built in 1900 as one of the original grand summer "cottages", and still boasting original woodwork and period furnishings, Thornhedge offers guests the opportunity to experience the classic elegance of old Bar Harbor with the convenience of modern amenities. All eleven rooms have private bathrooms and cable television while some feature fireplaces or private balcony. To start the day, an expanded continental breakfast is served in the dining room while in the afternoon wine and cheese is offered to welcome guests in after an exciting day of exploring Acadia National Park.

A family business since 1974, and still owner operated, we invite you to recapture the spirit of Bar Harbor at the turn of the century and come discover the unique beauty of Mount Desert Island.
