Specials and Extra Touches
There is no denying staying at Thornhedge is pretty special, and it may not seem possible to top that. You may not want to. But should you choose to go over the moon, here are a few suggestions.Update Concerning the Covid-19 Situation Covid-19 update
Thornhedge Inn welcomes our return guests and our first time visitors for our 2021 season.
Acknowledging the special circumstances of this year, we would like to share our health protocol strategies for this season. Although cleanliness and sanitizing has always been a priority at Thornhedge, we have determined extra measures to assure the safety of our guests during their stay as well as that of our valued staff members.
All rooms will be cleaned and sanitized between stays. We have removed all heavy comforters from rooms and have replaced them with spreads that will allow for laundering between guests. During a stay, the CDC recommends that there be no daily maid service. We will provide a container for dirty linen and can replenish supplies such as toilet paper, facial tissue, soap and shampoo. We have also added to each room individual sanitizing wipe packets for your peace of mind. Fresh linens and requested supplies will be left outside the room each day assuring guests that no one has been in their room.
All quests will be required to wear masks in the common areas, and make an effort to socially distance.
Breakfast service, always one of the high points of a Thornhedge stay, will be different. We will be providing a walk away breakfast for all guests. Guests may eat in their rooms, or in our common areas. Our guests will be choosing options from a menu the day before, and can pick up their orders between 7:30-9:30 am.
Afternoon wine and cheese is cancelled until further notice. Of course if guests wish to enjoy refreshments of their own, wine glasses or ice can be provided.
COVID TESTING, VACCINATION AND/OR QUARANTINE RESTRICTIONS:
The State of Maine has outlined requirements for guests who wish to visit Maine this summer.
Firstly, it should be said that this is a fluid situation, and requirements by state are almost certain to change. All guests are encouraged to remain up to date with the state requirements and restrictions on travel. As of May 1st, 2021, all states are exempt from restrictions to travel into Maine, but it is subject to change.
If you choose we can arrange a no contact check in. You will enjoy any amenities and assistance when needed and seclusion when desired. If you choose this option, upon arrival you will find an envelope with directions to your room and your room key. During your stay, we are also available via phone. So, while we will be available for personal interaction with our wonderful guests, it is not at all required.
We look forward to seeing you this year! Please call us if you have any questions at 207-288-5398. We can also be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Finally, if guests are uncomfortable with our changes to our operations, or unable to satisfy the states requirement for visitation, I will remind all guests that our cancellation policy has been changed so people may cancel without penalty in 2021. Our highest priority is the safety and well being of our guests. We look forward to when this situation is under control, and we can safely return to our usual operations.
Stay safe and take care of each other,
